Kara S. Mongiardo, Esquire has years of legal experience in a variety of practice areas, including estate planning and elder law, civil litigation, landlord/tenant law, employment law, criminal law, family law/domestic relations, and real estate transactions. Kara represented and counseled a diverse group of clients in an expansive range of legal matters while in practice at two law firms in central Pennsylvania. Kara's varied experience includes serving as the solicitor for the Fraternal Order of Police, drafting entertainment law contracts for a reality television show, and representing a major landlord in two college towns. As part of her family law practice, Kara also received extensive training in collaborative law, enabling her to facilitate settlements and alternative dispute resolutions.
Prior to entering private practice, Kara served as a law clerk to the Honorable Charles C. Brown, President Judge, Court of Common Pleas of Centre County, Pennsylvania, and the Honorable F. Joseph Leahey, Court of Common Pleas of Cambria County, Pennsylvania. Kara also represented indigent defendants as a court-appointed attorney in criminal matters.
Kara's professional experience also includes working in higher education in a law school setting. After years of working as a practicing attorney, Kara returned to her alma mater, Wake Forest University School of Law, where she served as the Assistant Director of Career and Professional Development. Kara later worked at Seton Hall University School of Law as the Associate Director of Career Services.
Most important to Kara is her family. She and her husband, Evan, dreamed of having their own practice, and the Mongiardo Law Group, LLC is the culmination of their collective efforts. Together with daughter Irys, an honors high school student, Kara and Evan want their family to help you and your family achieve the legal results that you deserve.
